BUSINESSMED BSO Management Academy - Servicing Members Efficiently

In the framework of EBSOMED, BUSINESSMED in collaboration with the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises & based on the needs of Employers’ Organisations, will organize the BSO Management Academy "Servicing Members Efficiently" on December 2019 in Casablanca, Morocco.

It is generally acknowledged that Business Support Organisations (BSOs) are an essential part of a sound social and economic development. Acting as spokesperson and federating their membership from different sectors, regions and company size, they secure that economic actors can jointly influence the political, social and economic environment, to make it conducive for stability, growth, job creation and decent work.

BSOs also have an important role to play as service provider for their members. Whether it is advisory, training, information or research, they deliver services to help their members succeed in their daily management and growth strategies.

Today, services delivery constitute an important source of revenue for many BSOs around the world. Given that BSOs have limited human and financial resources, mostly drawn from their membership fees, efficient and effective delivery of services is crucial to them. Moreover, improving the services offer has an impact on retention, recruitment and engagement of members and is essential to boost the value add of belonging to BSOs.

It is expected that, at the end of the two-day Academy, participants will have strengthened their skills to perform effectively in their BSO and in particular that they will:

  • Better understand the objectives of services offer development and the challenges that it constitutes;
  • Have learned how to assess their services offer portfolio identifying weaknesses, strengths and areas of improvements;
  • Know how to design a strategy to identify new market niches and expand the services offer or improve the existing service offer;
  • Have benchmarked their own practices with those of others on structural issues (e.g. needs assessment) or specific ones, related to the practices presented in the clinic.

Certifications of participation signed by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO) trainer and BUSINESSMED will be delivered to the participants after the completion of the Academy.
